Deep tissue massage is designed to target the inner layers of muscles and tendons.  It aids healing by relaxing tense areas. Because it helps increase blood flow and can help reduce inflammation, it’s the best massage for working out any muscle knots or relieving body tension and soreness. You should, however, expect to experience some soreness for two or three days after your deep tissue massage, and your therapist may suggest treating it with heat, ice, or stretches. Drink plenty of water to continue to release toxins.
